Atlantic Fellowship Ltd. is a legacy agency that’s been around since 1969. What started as an organization that chartered flights across the Atlantic to Germany has evolved into a full-service travel agency designing in-depth European adventures for (often repeat) clients.
While many things have changed over the decades, one thing has remained steadfastly the same: Atlantic Fellowship, as a boutique agency, still focuses on client care. My goal isn’t just to be your travel advisor or itinerary designer—but to be your advocate. I’ll do whatever I can to meet your needs—and exceed your expectations—for every trip.
While Atlantic Fellowship Ltd. was founded in 1969, my cross-Atlantic story began with a college study abroad experience in Belgium. It was the first time I traveled outside of the U.S.—and I immediately fell in love with travel, with Europe in particular, and with the opportunity to flex my French-speaking muscles!
Over the ensuing years, my work always revolved around travel in some way. I was a French teacher right out of college, and then I became a tour guide for French-speaking African visitors to the United States. Eventually, I settled into a multi-decade career working in ticketing and sales for Belgian, Swiss, and Austrian-based airlines.
The best perk of that job? Free flights to Europe, of course! My husband and I would hop on flights whenever we could just for quick weekend trips to the continent (at least, we did before our two kids came along). Frequent continental exploring only furthered my passion, and deep knowledge, of all things Europe.
When I took over Atlantic Fellowship in 2008 from my dear friend and mentor, Viola Wentzel, I developed the business from solely air ticket sales to cruises, tours, and custom travel. Naturally, with my love of Europe, a focus on European travel took hold.
What’s to love about Europe? Well, step away from the main overcrowded tourist sites and you’ll find out. It’s the joie de vivre of the locals, who are so proud of their local communities, their history, and their food (oh, the food!). It’s how fiercely each country defends and nurtures their distinct traditions.
It’s simply a more centered, and slow, way of living—and this is the side of Europe I always aim to share with my clients. I’ll do just that through my first-hand expertise, continent-spanning partners, and unique ability to uncover special experiences, just for you.
Through my custom travel design services, I allow my clients to experience Europe in a way they just couldn’t with a click online. Together, we’ll go deeper. You bring your ideas (and feel free to make them BIG); I bring them to life. Discover what’s in store when you trust your European travels to me.
